July 3rd my pump motor did just that. So, I retrieved this one from storage and replaced the bad motor cap. Great, everything good again, until yesterday. Thinking it couldn't be the cap again (it's brand new, unused). Check everything. All good. Check cap with meter, NO READING-OPEN. Wha'? Sure enough, some bulging appeared on metal can. FUDGE! And no spare.
