Blows your charging point and damages your car *by M***U on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 2 June 2020* Please do not buy. Mine lasted 4 months and has blown my pod point charger. I now have to look into getting my pod point charger repaired or replaced as a result at least £400+ for this. The photos of the damage are shocking.*** I have just added to the review to also point out that I have just found out it has blown the charging port to my vehicle.Car refuses to now charge-I’ve taken my i3 to BMW who have confirmed there is an error now with the charging port on my car. Looking at £175 for the first hour to run diagnostics on this. Earliest appointment is 3.5 weeks Away and been quoted just under 7 hours to replace faulty charging point on my car. Not as simple as changing a fuse I’ve been told. This is now going to cost me an arm and a leg to rectify. Please save yourselves the time and hassle and just pay the money to get the correct adaptor fitted to your charging point. I am wishing I had. Please note- the item was used in the evenings and it blew when we were going through a 2 week dry patch (no rain) so cannot blame weather or high temperatures for damage. I have spoken to a BMW i3 technician who has confirmed this was the cause of the damage to my vehicle. He said the cheap materials used mean this is a poor conductor for the electricity going through it. Proper charging cables use gold and silver plating which is why this charger will never be endorsed or affiliated with any big brand electric vehicles. This should not be sold to anyone and should be removed by amazon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job *by K***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 1 June 2019* Does the job. The type 1 socket looks like it's the sort that's designed to be screwed to a wall, rather than a floating socket, making the lead quite chunky, but it works. I keep it permanently attached to my wall charger's tethered, type 1, lead although the type 1 plug to socket connection occasionally works loose and has to be pushed back home.Note the short length. This is useful for converting type 1 to 2 but won't significantly extend your cable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ TESLA CHARGER COMPATABLE? *by S***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 7 August 2019* WHEN DELIVERED I THOUGHT THAT IT WOULNT WORK ON MY TESLA CHAGER AS IT TRIPPED IT OUT I EMAILLED THE COMPANY AND THEY REPLIED VERY QUICKLY THAT TESLA HAS A DIFFERANT BIT RATE BUT IF I SWITCHED DIP SWITCH 2 OFF IT ALLOWS IT TO READ DIFFERANT RATES .10 MINUTES AND 7 SCREWS LATER SUCSESS.
