It is not a permanent repair, just hopefully enough to slowly nurse the car a few miles to a proper tyre-repair centre, where they will most likely say the tyre needs replacing. The instructions are hidden under the sticky labels (two layers of them) and it is a good idea to read and understand them before you ever need to use it, most likely in the dark, in the rain and with traffic howling past. You will always need a tyre-inflator pump and a reliable tyre-pressure-gauge, preferably one that includes a stronger metal valve-core spanner than the plastic toy supplied with the Slime. I also carry a plug kit like this one with additional vulcanising solution for a stronger and more durable repair; and for someone with strong hands in the light and dry and safety this is a much better option than the Slime.
