The needles themselves aren't particularly long, but the cord makes up for that. So far, I've knit using these with acrylic, polyester, and wool. Didn't have any troubles with any of the yarn, all three types I've tried have slipped on and off the needles with ease. The cord is very durable and I haven't had any signs of wear and tear on any of them yet. Something nice about these needles is the size of them (in millimeters) is printed right on the needle - so you can grab the one you need without difficulty! You can tell the needles are a little on the cheaper side since they're light and hollow, but honestly it helps with knitting speed. Overall, I think these are great needles, whether you're doing a very wide project (blankets, for example) or knitting in the round (fully or magic loop). If you're planning on doing a big blanket, get longer needles than the 100 cm - the maximum width I could squeeze onto them was 40 inches across.
