What struck me is how well machined they are with everything lining up perfectly during assembly . The wood looks lovely , has some nice grain and is very smooth to the touch . The fact that they are hardwood is a bonus and although they have not been exposed to the wear and tear of a busy household yet they appear to be extremely solid . They also have a sort of simple elegance and the seat is quite deep and roomy . Well chuffed with these chairs and they are a steal for the price . I would recommend them to anybody . Review: not "that" difficult to assemble, but poor instructions - I was nearly put off from buying these because so many reviewers said that they were impossible to put together. I would agree, the instructions are really poor, but I have done many flat packs, and the system are all very similar. So If you've done a few before, you should be ok. If not, you will need some help. But they are a sturdy product, and worth the working out. It's a chair! and there are 7 pieces. They are better than most for the price, and seem sturdy. Clearer instructions could be easily supplied, so why aren't they? A number of bad reviews mentioned an almost helpful YouTube video, but I did not need to check it out. The finish on the wood is not absorbent so I don't think you can change the colour.
