The student doll has molded plastic hair (as opposed to brush-able hair like Barbie’s), but it does appear she can bend at the waist (so she can sit) and raise her arms. Her dress is fabric. This set will not only allow the child to “play school” as it’s designed, but the accessories are also very versatile, allowing for plenty of other play scenarios. Considering the typical retail price of the dolls and accessories sold separately, I do feel this is good value. It’s also “substantial size” for the money.
