Apply a small amount in a circular motion. Don't get tempted to do too much in one go apply in sections. Once applied buff up and move to the next section trying not to overlap too much. I find it to be quite satisfying! **Q: Does this have any protective effect from woodworm on sheesham furniture** A: Hi. the best way to treat and prevent all woodworm infestation is by applying a good woodwork treatment to the piece or have a furniture restorer do it for you. You can use our wax polish after the treatment to help fill and disguise the flight holes of the beetles as well as enhance the wood. It will also make it easier for you to spot any new flight holes as they will be white around the edge of the hole. I hope this helps. Would one 125ml jar be sufficient?** A: If this is the correct colour, then yes but the product needs either thinning with good quality natural turpentine or else warming in hot water or over a radiator. The product is possibly too dry for immediate application, meaning the wax is too good a quality. I would use 'Mylands Natural Gum Turpentine' to mix in with the wax and apply in a well ventilated space. **Q: I have some rustic furniture that isn't smooth like some of the photos,wood this wax work with rough wood?** A: Hi. (Well our family heirloom kitchen table is, anyway!) *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 7 November 2018* Mum has a well-loved, well worn kitchen table that has been in our family for generations. It was in a very sorry state having been neglected for many years. I looked at loads of wax polishes on Amazon and although this one is very pricey, it sounded perfect. I first scrubbed it clean with eco egg clay based natural cleaner, then sanded it lightly with a sanding block. Then I applied this polish in the direction of the grain with liberon 0000 grade wire wool. After about 40 minutes I buffed it with a soft cloth and we are all thrilled with the result. There’s just enough colour in the polish to add back a bit of richness to the wood and even up the colour without ruining the patina. Can’t recommend this highly enough! The smell is light and natural, it smells of honey and a hint of natural pine. This is a factor that's very important to me as I have asthma and can get headaches by certain smells if I'm not careful.The wax is easy to use. I've used it on plywood, unfinished wood, slightly sanded rough sawn timber and chalk painted wood. Each time it gives a Finnish that is infinitely better than anything I've ever used.
