I bought them because I'm trying to reduce as much plastic and trash in general from my life that I can, and it seemed like a really good idea to have reusable produce bags. Well, I'm certainly not disappointed in these. They look good, the set comes with just the right combination of sizes (though I'm thinking of buying a second set now that summer is rolling around and the farmers' markets are starting to open up), and they are holding up very well so far. They are also the ONLY reusable produce bags I've seen that have no plastic AT ALL. The drawstring clip is metal and all the other companies use the cheap plastic ones that break absurdly easy (I've tried a few). They also don't have any plastic in the shipping materials, it's just a small simple cardboard box, which actually makes me very happy. I've made a handful of trips to the grocery store with these already (I try to buy fruits and veggies as close to when I'll be cooking/eating them as possible) and I've actually gotten a few compliments and a lot of people asking where I purchased them. My mother even wants a set and is threatening to steal mine next time she comes back to visit.My single annoyance comes not from the product but from the grocery stores themselves. Having the tare weight on a brightly coloured tag so it's virtually impossible to miss is brilliant. However, these cashiers now don't seem to understand that they need to enter that weight and that they shouldn't be charging me .07-.11 lbs extra on the price of the produce. I had to explain that twice already. I think that these bags are worth that mild annoyance though. In the grand scheme of things, that's so much less plastic you're using and putting into a landfill over the life of these bags. Love Love Love these!!!! Wow, wasn't expecting to be so excited about produce bags, but these are fantastic and the variety of sizes make it easy to organize a shopping list too. I love that the tare weight is included for easy register experiences going plastic-free. The mesh is well made and material is amazing quality. The product is as presented here on Amazon, and love the recycling box it comes in. My only complaint is with Amazing....Dude, you should stop adding plastic packing inside it's boxes when the products are clearly being purchased by eco friendly customers. :) Stop adding plastic...period. Encourage shoppers to use your paper fillers for art, other recycled products, etc. K? ;)Farmer's market shopping will be much more pleasant with these and keep my produce organized. Giddy over these. NO MORE PLASTIC! YAY! Washed in delicate and hung dry (since they are mesh and dry fast), but from what I've read they dry nicely too.
