So the bottom to about 3 times heavier then the top of the pen. **Q: How do you refill the lead? I tried the way they said in one of the reviews and it didn't work. If pull off the end of the pen, please say which** A: I just checked my pen and here's how you add pencil lead: Unscrew and remove the front of the pen (the grip section). Look closely at the pencil part's metal sleeve and you'll see that about 1/2â€ŗ down from the pen body, there's a spot where the lower part of the metal pencil sleeve slides over the upper part. Pull the bottom part of the metal pencil sleeve off. Add lead to the upper part of the metal sleeve, then replace the lower part by slipping it back into place. Hope this helps!! **Q: Can I use gel ink refills instead of the regular ink refills? And how fine is the tip? Can that be changed by utilizing different size refills?** A: The tip is .7mm. Unit makes this pen with all types of different tip sizes, but I don't know about gel refills. The refills for the Signo multi may work, but I have not had a chance to try them yet. I don't want to waste 6 bucks on the experiment. Jet Pens carries a much larger line up of pens. Is there a silver logo halfway through the pen? The one on the youtube reviews look different from the picture** A: My pen is solid black at the rubber grip and the barrel. There is a silver ring between them as shown in the picture. I wanted to test the comfort and ink-flow of this pen, I had used a Uni Jetstream before and this lasted me around 2 1/2 years which is pretty good given I was doing 3 sciences, english lit and language and art (Yes, I used it to draw). This pen is a straight upgrade from the essentially stock-no frills one. The nicely integrated pencil is easy to access and no, it doesn't activate accidently as one may think and the writing, oh it's a pleasure to use, I found myself looking for more information just so I could use this amazing product, and does it have a nice rubber grip? Hell yes! The different pen switches have a sleek look with a line on them indicating the colour of the pen correspondent with that switch, it looks fancy- and although plastic, it feels durable and firm.
