Review: Casio Men's MRW200H Watch - Day & date setup - This is about “Casio Men's MRW200H-1B2V Black Resin Quartz Watch with Black Dial”. I am pleased with this watch which I bought as a cheap standby watch that is easy to read. What it is not so easy is to setup the Day & Date on the watch. I read the instructions and followed those for Module 5125 ( 5125 is on the back plate of the watch ). I pulled out the Crown Wheel (winder) to the second stop and set the hands to the correct time. I then pushed the Crown back to the first stop and set the date (numeric) by turning the Crown counter-clockwise. I then turned the Crown clockwise to set the Day, nothing happened, I also noticed that the day was in Spanish ! I re-read the instructions but found no way to set the watch to English. I did find some information online which implied that the watch needed to reset itself overnight if you set the watch to English. I put the watch aside to see if anything happened overnight ! The next morning about 11am I had another look. The Date (numeric) was in the act of rolling to a new date. It was obvious that the watch thought it was approaching midnight, so I pulled out the Crown to the second stop and wound the hands on 12 hours. This completed the Date (numeric) change. I also noticed the Day had changed and was now in English ! I pushed the Crown to first stop and turned it clockwise. The Day changed but was in Spanish, I kept turning and the Day changed and was in English ! I kept turning until I got to the correct Day in English. I pushed the Crown back in. It has continued to operate correctly and the Day is still in English. A day or so later I had a look at the watch after midnight and noticed that briefly a Spanish day was showing. As it rolls over it passes through the Spanish settings before reaching the English. The fact that my second set of adjustments took place approx an hour before mid-day is important. I think the optimum time would be between 10.30am and 11.30am in the morning. There is a warning in the instructions not to adjust the watch between 9pm in the evening and 5am in the morning. I don’t usually do reviews, but I got so annoyed at times trying to get the Day & Date set that I felt it might help others to put my experience online.
