The printer product has a special date on the main computer board that compares the expiration date of cartridges and printheads and checks for 'within' dates. On the printhead I found a printing date on top of the head. Some printers have a way to reset the date on the printer and that may be listed in your ownwer's manual. As My 1200dtwn printer does not print any more and the printheads are out of date, I will replace the out of date printheads and see what happens then.
