The head has strong steel tines. This rake exceeded my expectations which were pretty high already. In this age where companies are cutting costs which can translate into skimping on the product quality, it's nice to know there are still some companies who are proud of their products and continue to build and sell well-made ones. At the end of my reviews I always ask "would I buy this again?" because that's my standard of product approval. Yes. I would not hesitate to buy this rake again.
