I have a fairly ancient Homebase gas bbq with lava rocks and a horrendously badly corroded grill. This mat sits on top of the grill and 100% prevents any items of food from sticking, also removes any flare ups from fat dripping on the rocks, you're left with perfectly cooked burgers that don't resemble charred remains that are still frozen in the middle. Even excellent with home made fresh burgers that tend to sometimes break up and fall through the grill to certain death...After an evenings intensive bbq session catering for 8 hungry adults, the pad was remarkably easy to clean even after cooking steak, chicken kebabs, home made fresh burgers and veg kebabs! I Previously typically spent 30 minutes cleaning the grill on my gas BBQ with steel wool etc. Also small items like prawns and vegetables were forever plummeting down the grating into the gas abyss. These mats solve all the problems; the meat still browns off nicely and there's no problems with burgers sticking to the grill and breaking up. Cleaning the matt takes a few minutes. My first mat lasted about 10 weeks before I decided to replace it.A great idea that works well.
