Spice Level - Mildly spicy Simi and Temi Ayamase Pepper Mix Our Ayamase pepper mix is a blend of dried peppers and spices used to make traditional African stews, removing the stress of blending vegetables and simmering the blended peppers to remove excess water. It also takes the guess work out of your cooking, allowing you to make authentic Ayamase stew every time. Now, don't be carried away by the name, this pepper mix has many applications. Preservative Free Cook authentic African Stew in less than 30 minutes Has application across various cuisines Ayamase Pepper Mix Recipes Ayamase Stew Ingredients (5-6 Servings) 1 packet of Ayamase Pepper Mix 3 cups of water 1.5 cup of palm oil 1 medium onion 2 Tbsp iru (locust beans) Salt and seasoning powder to paste Meat, fish and/or egg as desired Instructions Soak the pepper mix in water for 2 hours or more Heat the oil in a pan on low-medium heat Add onion to the oil, allow to fry until it begins to fragrant or onion in translucent. Remove from the skillet and set aside Add the remaining pepper mixture in the bowl to the skillet, add water, tomatoes, and cook until water reduces While the pepper mixture is cooking, pull the chicken Add the pulled chicken to the pepper mixture. Review: Great product, well packaged. - I bought a mild version and it wasn’t spicy at all. It had a sweet taste like that of tomatoes which is a no, no for Ayamase sauce. I had to spice it up with lots of hot pepper and it came out great. Would buy the hot version next time. Good product!
