The bass has a heavy, awkward power supply box to provide that, but with this converter I was able to build the whole thing into my pedalboard, just taking standard 9 volts from the pedalboard power supply. Very quiet and the bass works cleanly. Perfect niche application for a niche product.

I have a vintage bass guitar that needs +/- 15 to 20 volts. The bass has a heavy, awkward power supply box to provide that, but with this converter I was able to build the whole thing into my pedalboard, just taking standard 9 volts from the pedalboard power supply. Very quiet and the bass works cleanly. Perfect niche application for a niche product.

It seems to be a well-built unit and it worked. But, be aware that it requires numerous external components to function properly and the power output de-rates when using a 5V input. See the photo of the application notes which came with the unit.
