One of the main issues I noticed in the reviews was that the item leaked in multiple places mainly because it was not American pipe thread standards. I noticed in the reviews that most of the people who said this were from 2020 and earlier. I decided to take a chance because I could always return it through desertcart. The first thing I did was try my brass fittings in the threads and they fit perfectly. When I opened the book it specifically said that they were American pipe threads, Specifically 1/2 14 NPT. So I'm assuming this problem was corrected. The only other complaints that I saw were that the finish peeled. I purchased the oil rubbed bronze and it appears to be a fairly durable finish so far. I must say that the valve and each of the pieces is much heavier and solid than I expected. It appears to be much better quality than the lower priced name brand items that are mainly plastic. The plastic cover over the mixing valve for rough in, even has built-in levels to help with mounting and the valve itself has a trimmable front edge to make sure it lines up perfectly with your tile.
