Fortunately these bulbs are supposed to be dimmable and I will look into that as a solution. I have a 60 watt incandescent and the incadescent is noticeably less bright. Also LED lighting will never be as ruby and complex as an incandescent edison bulb but this does a good job (And of course avoids being a space heater!)I especially love the oversized glass bulb (might look too big if you want to put several of these in a fixture!) but under a glass shade as a single bulb it looks great. The gold tinted glass is a very nice touch during the day adding some depth when it is off.
