Worries about the zip were unfounded - still works fine.The leather has aged wonderfully, and now has real true character. I would buy another one instantly, but this one is still in perfect condition. I really treasure this bag!Original review:I received mine today, having read the previous reviews. I was in two minds, given comments about the zip quality, but bought one anyway as this style is exactly what I wanted.Other reviews mention colour, smell and quality. All are fair observations, but please put into context. The smell, at least initially, is very leathery. Obviously! I'm happy with the colour - it is maybe a shade lighter than the photos, but will no doubt age darker. The quality of the leather is better than I expected. The main bag is thicker leather than I'd thought, but the strap is quite thin - just a single thickness. The zip is plastic, so my bet is that the zip will expire well before the bag.I've ripped up the Amazon box that it came in, and packed out the bag to reshape it after delivery. I've left it to air to reduce the strength of the leather smell.There are a couple of things that the manufacturer could do - provide a stiff insert as a base, and put those little feet on each corner. And of course - a metal zip. With those additions, this bag would still be a bargain at Β£70. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks good *by R***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 August 2015* I got this for a few purposes, but mainly as an overnight bag as mine is a bit old. First things first, it doesn't look exactly like the pictures you see for the product - the end pockets are not smaller buckle fastening pockets as shown, but rather full size ones that close with a zip. You therefore get two full size end pockets, as well as the main compartment and the front pocket pretty much as shown on the pics. Although it's not as rugged looking as a result, it is more practical. The smell, as others have said, is intense, and is slowly going after a week, but I think it'll take another couple of weeks to go completely. As it comes flat packed, I'd recommend using the packaging to stuff inside it for a couple of days to help it get its shape. So far, it seems well made, if a little thin and flimsy - but hey, for this price it's brilliant. Only time will tell how long it lasts, but I suspect if I don't abuse it it should last quite a long time. I'm in my forties, and my teenage daughter also likes it and wants to borrow it - which I think is a huge positive in respect of looks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value Indiana Jones style holdall. *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 November 2016* Just got home to find this leather holdall had been delivered. It looks fab, darker in colour than on the picture but this is better I think. Won't mark as easily or go to look grubby. My son said the smell was a bit overpowering when he got it out of the box but now it just smells like saddle soaped leather. This one has 3 small buckled pockets, one either end and one on the side. It also has a shoulder strap which has clips so you can take it off which suits me as I prefer to carry by the shorter handles. It's good and roomy inside. Ideal for weekends away. It would be improved with a card insert to keep it in shape but overall I can't complain.
