Review: inking is fun again! **not just an intuos pen!** - i'll start this by saying the product title "Wacom Intuos Pen. . ." may be partially true, but it's definitely not only an intuos pen - i bought this for my cintiq which it's super compatible with. i worry that the name of the listing could cause people shopping for a replacement pen for non-intuos line wacom tablets to look somewhere else, when this listing has a pretty good price for a brand new pen that is compatible with numerous tablets. this pro pen 1 is compatible with cintiq 13hd, cintiq 21UX(DTK), cintiq 22hd, cintiq 24hd, cintiq 27qhd, cintiq companion, intuos4, intuos5, and intuos pro. they should include this information in the product description somewhere....probably anyway, i bought this as a replacement for a faulty wacom grip pen that we got with our used cintiq 22hd. the used-but-practically-brand-new tablet itself has been a dream, but i knew the old pen had issues from the start when the side button kept coming off, and over time i noticed that the center of the pen kept wanting to come apart, the nib kept retracting far into the pen.... i would constantly have to twist and push the barrel together and the nib was always moving around, even when it felt to be mostly in the right spot. i used the old pen for over a year before i got fed up since anything besides loosely sketching on my cintiq became way too much of a chore when i had to babysit my pen all the time. when finally shopping for a replacement, i learned the old grip pens have a fairly high failure rate with those darn side buttons, so i took desertcart's recommended pick of this product (after researching KPS03E just to double check that it was compatible with my tablet since the listing says intuos specifically...) and took a chance, shelling out a few more dollars for a hopefully well-constructed pen. i couldn't be happier that i did that! comparing it to my grip pen, the weight is almost the same, but the pen itself just feels much nicer in the hand for me. it has a nifty look, comfortable shape, the buttons feel sturdy and well-seated (yes!!! finally!) but how does it act on my cintiq? heaven from the second i un-boxed it. i knew the old pen was messed up physically, but i didn't even realize just how much my grip pen's faults affected the pressure curve and the sensitivity to the finer movements in my brush strokes. the pro pen (with it's glorious non-jiggly nib) responds to the tiniest pressure and the most precise commands. i don't feel like i need to zoom in so much to draw in smaller areas, since the pen responds perfectly in tight spots. this is probably how any properly functional wacom pen (even a grip pen) should act, but i hadn't realized i had it so bad until i put this new one to the screen. i can recommend this stylus to anyone with a tablet pen that's giving them trouble (on a compatible tablet of course). if your old pen has some button issues or falling apart issues but seems to work ENOUGH, there's a good chance you aren't getting the best experience out of your tablet and, like me, you might not even realize it! do i wish these things were cheaper? 100% yes. but at least it is a new a wonderfully functional pen, rather than a used one for half the price and potentially half the functionality. that said, if you find a NIB one for a lower price somewhere, do go for it! it's a great pen
Review: Little more than I wanted to spend, but nice case, nibs, accent spacers, and a nice new pen. - I needed a replacement, well I thought I needed a replacement. The rubber on my original pen was sweating (getting sticky), and just rather annoying. Found that rubbing alcohol took care of it, but I had already found this replacement on desertcart. A little more than I wanted to spend on an artistic tool at the moment. But the case, and having a second pen is wonderful. It's smaller than the original, so you can't put other pens in the case... but you can put other nibs in the nib holders in the case. The case has a magnetic closure, and just feels nice. The pen however, doesn't have any additional weight, kinda expected more weight from the pro pen, as it would make it feel more "pro", however feels about the same as the standard that came with my intuos 4. There's a nice selection of spacers, I took one and put it on my old pen... so they both have an "accent". It works beautifully with the intuos, and is recognized as "Pro Pen", vs. "Grip Pen". Which allows me to choose different sensitivity per pen. So one can be more stiff, and one softer as I'd like it. So a nice case, more nibs, another nib grabber, spacers with colors (blue on pen, green, red, and black in the case), and the pen itself. A great addition to my wacom stuff... and if I had a wacom at work I'd take this pen with me every day.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great replacement for Intuos4!
*by B***S on July 22, 2017*

At first, I was pretty indecisive about whether I should buy the standard grip pen or shell out a little extra for the pro. The grip pens on Amazon are around $60 and upwards from what I've seen, and with a $10 difference, I would DEFINITELY recommend getting the pro instead if you need a case or more nibs with your replacement! What you get: 1 pro pen 9 standard black nibs 4 spacers (black, green, red, and blue) 1 nib extractor 1 carrying case to hold all of the above I won't lie, the best part about this is the case. Hands down. Everything inside is wedged in sturdy rubber, with a slot for the pen and nine slots for any nibs you feel like storing/bringing along with you. The spacers are tucked inside of the metal nib grabber in their own little slot, too! I'm extremely clumsy and forgetful, so the case has already been a blessing since I tote my tablet around a lot haha. The pen itself feels a bit bottom-heavy compared to my old one. I personally like the feel of it in my hand more! It's light, does what it's supposed to, and I honestly can't find anything to complain about other than the grip itself since it's a grit magnet. The spare nibs for my grip pen work just fine in it as well, although the stroke and flex nibs are a little loose. Overall, I'd recommend the pro pen if you take your tablet on the go like I do. Otherwise? I can't see or feel much of a difference in the way my drawings are coming out, the only differences between the two are cosmetic as far as I can tell. I'll edit my review if I have any issues with its durability, but my old pen lasted six years so here's hoping this one will too!
