It's not too salty, and I can add salt the popcorn to taste (though I don't always want to). This is just what I was looking for. I also use it for homemade mac and cheese. Sometimes I just crave white cheddar mac and cheese, but don't want to buy the individual sized boxes for a dollar or more each. Being able to make my own saves a lot of money, and I can use my own favorite pasta shapes too. I personally prefer a much heartier pasta like rigatoni with mine. I've also been using it instead of yellow cheddar powder in a homemade dorito recipe. I personally prefer the white cheddar flavor, and dust the chips with just white cheddar powder first (to get even more to stick, and distribute the flavor better), before adding the homemade seasoning blend that also has white cheddar powder in it. Then I pop them back in the warm oven for a few more minutes to make it all stick to the chips. Amazing flavor! Even been using it on bake potatoes (i'm sure it would be good in mashed potatoes too). This powder mixes well, and has proven very versatile in the kitchen. The bag it comes in reseals well, and the product stays dry and fresh inside.
