I apply it while still in the shower under running water. It leaves the skin very soft and smooth. It's a little thick almost like a castor oil type feel so you need to apply quite a bit to get it all over your body. You don't need a moisturiser with this. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the smell, it smells like a traditional medicinal plant which isn't pleasant but the smell fades after about 30 minutes of it being on your skin.
