The Adscope 618, like many of our Adscopes employs AFD (Adjustable Frequency Design) technology. Altering the pressure applied to the chestpiece “tunes” the frequency – light pressure for lower frequencies, firmer pressure for higher frequencies. Perfecting the technique takes a bit of practice. The most common cause of reduced acoustic performance is poor seal at the ears. To ensure optimal performance, please note the following: Orient the headset with the eartips pointing FORWARD towards the bridge of the nose. (many first -time users wear the headset backward which greatly impedes acoustic transmission to the inner ear) Ensure you are using optimally sized eartips. The scope comes with two sizes.
