I have several crawlers from most of the name brands. They all crawl and trail very well. I assumed I would have to at least change tires, esc , & maybe motor to make this Jeep perform. I was very suprised with my first run. It is perfect for scale trailing and crawls surprisingly well. The throttle modulation surprised me most. I expected a fairly twitchy esc but the Hobbywing 60a is perfect. Low speed control is excellent. Top speed it just above a brisk walk. Perfect. Tires also perform crazy good for what they are. Perfect for trailing and they are 100% scale. Just buy it and go have some fun. Get you a 12" driver figure too. It looks wrong without one.

A: Yes, the axles, axle housings and drive shafts are all metal.  I don't know if the pinion gears inside the axle housings are metal, I would think so.  Same for the transfer gear case.

Stop reading reviews and buy it already! I am amazed with this Jeep for the price. Awesome scale looks, descent performance, & a killer price. I have several crawlers from most of the name brands. They all crawl and trail very well. I assumed I would have to at least change tires, esc , & maybe motor to make this Jeep perform. I was very suprised with my first run. It is perfect for scale trailing and crawls surprisingly well. The throttle modulation surprised me most. I expected a fairly twitchy esc but the Hobbywing 60a is perfect. Low speed control is excellent. Top speed it just above a brisk walk. Perfect. Tires also perform crazy good for what they are. Perfect for trailing and they are 100% scale. Just buy it and go have some fun. Get you a 12" driver figure too. It looks wrong without one.

This 1:6 scale MB Willys Jeep has great detailing and excellent WW2 decal markings. The only negative thing I can say is the shock filled oil is light to medium weight in the rear shocks. If you plan to put additional weight in the jeep; replace the oil with 70 wt/910 cst oil.
