Review: Good saw - Runs well, started right up out of the box. Purchased when it was $409 a week or two ago, so for that price really great deal. For the current price probably not the greatest deal. But with the price I paid, I'd give it 5 stars. If I paid the current price, maybe it would be a 4 star, due to it sometimes bogging down on larger logs. But seems to be a pretty solid saw non the less.
Review: 460 rancher - Delivery guy was great. He delivered inside my back yard so package could not be seen from the street. For the saw, I put high octane non ethanol gas in it mixed with Husqvarna XP 2stroke oil and put in Husqvarna bar oil. It fired on the second pull and started right up on the 3rd pull. Idle sounded great. I made about 4 cuts on a small log. Cut Nicely. Carb seemed as it is adjusted well and so far no bar oil leakage. I turned the saw off and let it sit. It fired up on the 1st pull. So far this saw seems like a beast. No complaints yet. We'll see after I get a tank or 3 of fuel through it. I will update if my experience changes. But first impression after startup is great saw for a great price of ,$409 I paid. It's a beast compared to my 440.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the thickness of the chain?**
A: Makes about 1/4 inch slice when cutting fire logs

**Q: Does this saw support any other size bars? Such as 18, 20,28 or is it specific to the 24 inch only?**
A: You can change bar length as long as you stay with 3/8 x 0.050 chain size. I purchased an Oregon 16 inch bar for my saw for most cutting around my property. You can go to a bigger bar but you sacrifice power. Your call

**Q: Is there any way to get the military discount purchasing through this store, or do you have to go to a retail location?**
A: Some business sites have that built in but Amazon is not one of those. Would be great if they were. Home Depot offers a 10 percent discount for military and so does Lowes

**Q: If this model overkill for home use and for one tree?**
A: Depends on the tree. Most "homeowner" chainsaws have 18-inch chains or smaller. This chainsaw has a 24-inch bar. If you have never used a chainsaw, I would not recommend it for home use on one tree. Also, I highly recommend getting a forestry helmet and, if new to chainsaws, a pair of kevlar chaps.
