Review: Well Made, Reasonably Priced Screws - The Black #8x1-1/4 Truss Head Screws I purchased appear well made and finished, were sold at a reasonable price ($9.99), and functioned well for my intended purpose. The only negative thing I would state is that the included bit is trash... soft metal which strips out far too easily. Thankfully, being a contractor, I had quality Phillips bits on hand.
Review: Good screws, worked perfectly - We used these 5/8" screws to attach 3/4" thick strips of wood to steel bands that were perforated down their length with elongated holes. Inserted these screws through the back of the steel bands and they worked exactly as intended. They hold the decorative wood to the steel and it looks so much better than the raw steel bands. The steel bands strengthen the wood strips, and keep them from warping too. We could definitely recommend these screws for similar purposes.
