Are they oily? Can these safely be used in a super-auromatic?** A: There are more than 800 flavor compound combinations in coffee and most of that comes from the oils inside of the bean. Roasting the bean brings those oils to the surface and depending on the bean and the roast this can be normal. The Old Havana Espresso is Medium-Dark roast, therefore it certainly can have slight traces of oil, but less than other dark roast espressos. Regarding the machine, most of the espresso blends are roasted dark and the machines (and grinders) should work with this type of dark coffees. **Q: Is there a roast date printed anywhere? I can't find it.** A: No. Only a best by date **Q: Is this the same espresso coffee beans that is sold in McDonalds espresso?** A: No this is not the same espresso beans sold in McDonald's espresso. **Q: How fine must the grind be?** A: Hello, the grind used to make espresso should be Fine grind.
