He decided to invest in the Makita brand for all of his power tools. I admittedly questioned why until doing a little research. Found out that Makita is one of only two brands that makes their own power tools and they only make power tools. All of the other big brand names have been bought out, consolidated etc. (looking at you DeWalt!) ha. He really likes the ergonomics on the tool and he went head-to-head with a co-worker who has a Milwaukee and was able to drill a hole in concrete almost 2 seconds faster. Impressive! Honestly kind of wish I didn't invest so heavily in Ryobi because I would switch to Makita in a heartbeat. If you're just getting started or looking to switch brands definitely go for Makita!
