The ratchet lock makes it great for bigger dudes who regularly fight with the spacing on belt holes. That being said, it will fight you regularly. Eating will expand your gut and push against where it rested and after things process it begins to wane in the other direction. Cost of doing business, and realistically the same issue you'd have with a regular belt. It looks great. I wear a suit for work (security) and it matches the aesthetic targets of professional and sauve. Belt buckle is clearly finished and lightly polished, its evident they didn't throw it into the packaging as soon as it cooled off the line.
