There is no harm in using it every time you plan to wash your hair though if you find that it soothes the scalp. It is important that the shampoo you use to wash the oil out does not contain Sodium Laurel Sulphate (SLS) as this is a chemical that dries and irritates the skin and it could undo all the benefits of the scalp oil treatment. Our shampoo does not contain SLS and there are other shampoos that you can buy that also do not contain SLS but please check the products that you have in your bathroom. Even Johnsons Baby Shampoo contains SLS. As an industrial strength chemical, SLS is used in clinical trials to irritate the skin in order to test immolients. We would strongly recommend avoiding it in all foaming products including toothpaste.
