A: The bore is 3/16" on this item. You may wish to review item B 551 that has a 1/4" bore for the axle.

A: These aren't usually used to attach to the door by themselves.  They are used to replace broken or damaged rollers that are riveted into housings.   If you had a housing that hasn't been made in years, and it's fine but the roller is broken, you could use this roller to repair it.

**Q: What are the mechanics of the rivet? Do we pound it with a hammer to lock it?**
A: Yes,  a punch and a hammer.   These are generally used to replace a roller in a housing that may not be available as an entire assembly anymore.
