(measured 85% RH at 8 degrees C )** A: I am not really qualified to answer your question. But as I understand the benefits of this unit, is that it`s all about ventilation, movement of air, creating a positive pressure forcing air out of the natural gaps around doors,windows and vents, replacing with fresh air from the roof space. Although you have a higher humidity in the loft you should still benefit from the circulation of air around the property **Q: Does this have a remote control, not mobile enough to climb a ladder?** A: No remote control but just get a switch fitted by an electrician somewhere convenient that you can switch off/on when you choose too, but Nuaire recommend leaving on all year, I don't leave on in the summer months but retrieves cool air during the night when really hot. **Q: What position should the heater adjustment pot on the control panel normally be set to for most economical running? Many thanks.** A: I think the default was 12 deg but changed mine to 8 deg but if the weather is really cold you do notice the air blowing into the house. Mostly it depends on where the unit is placed in the loft (mine above hot water tank so any heat rising into the loft is recycled) plus your lagging but I would try at default and see how often the heater kicks in and change later. Hope this helps! **Q: When bolted to the rafters, it there much vibration or fan noise?** A: Mine is right outside and above 2 off my bedrooms and we hear no noise at all from it. And it doesn’t get bolted to rafters. It is suspended by string from them so technically it won’t vibrate against them at all.
