Review: I have been contemplating buying something like this item for a few years to reduce heat loss and increase efficiency in windy conditions. I had even considered making my own. I saw the price this was going for and took the plunge, after reading the reviews. I'm grateful to everyone who took the time to tell their account, both positive and otherwise. Lightweight vs flimsy? I bought this to be lightweight, which it is, so will accept that I may need to support it with a rock or two sometimes. Pins coming out? I decided that I will accept the breadth and (light)weight as is, so I crimped top and bottom of the plate tubes, which took about five minutes. End of pin loss problem. The plates are stamped out of very thin alloy to keep the weight down, so may be a little sharp. A few minutes with some fine sandpaper will cure this. As for the imperfect finish, I did not buy this for its looks, rather for its function and given the price, accept the blemishes caused during manufacture. I'm looking forward to using this windshield for many years to come and would recommend it.

This is a great product for shielding you cooker from the wind. It is very compact and very lightweight so will be easily carried in a backpack, etc. The only issue........the individual pieces have obviously been stamped out of a larger sheet of aluminium and most of the edges were quite sharp on one side. A few minutes with a fine file sorted it out, but just be mindful of that, especially if being handled by children. I've knocked a star off because of that but, in all other respects it's a very practical bit of kit.
