The playing surface is smooth and durable while its looks will attract many admiring glances. The weight (4.5k) is manageable especially if you don't have a car. These comments are in no way influenced by the fact I won the second tournament I played using it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice! *by B***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 November 2014* This really is a lovely backgammon set. The V-FiberTM-lined cups and playing field make a nice muffled sound when shaking and rolling the dice. The marbleised checkers with their finger dish look amazing and glide effortlessly over the board surface. The case appears to be well made with good quality catches and handle. The croco material covering the case looks nice though feels quite thin so not sure how it would stand up to regular use.On the set delivered, the white checkers would only fit in one of the side troughs. Also, two of the brown checkers were much thinner than the others (that probably explains why they were able to fit in the shorter trough). Unfortunately, due to these issues, I have returned the set to Amazon. I'm tempted to reorder but afraid the new set will have similar problems.
