## Description

gPants are soft, colorful diaper covers for use with gDiapers Disposable Inserts and optional Cloth Inserts. Each pair of gPants includes a breathable, waterproof pouch, which holds the insert in place and contains the mess to keep baby clean and comfortable. The pouch snaps in and out for quick changes and less laundry (extra pouches available, sold separately). The breathable design allows air to circulate to baby’s delicate skin, which has been shown to reduce diaper rash. gPants are perfectly sized for a trim fit, from newborn to toddler, and come in sizes newborn, small, medium, large and extra large. gDiapers is changing the world of disposable diapers — top to bottom, inside and out. Our simple system pairs adorable soft cotton gPants diaper covers with Disposable Inserts that are flushable and compostable (wet ones only). gDiapers Disposable Inserts are Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver — a mark trusted around the world for ecologically intelligent design. Above all, gDiapers is dedicated to keeping babies clean, cute and comfortable — as part of a growing global community of parents who are looking for beautiful products: inside and out.

Review: Best Diapers! Great for baby, great for the planet! - My daughter is turning a year old this week and I have been using exclusively gDiapers since birth... and I LOVE THEM! Having already diapered two children with "regular" disposable diapers, I find these to be the perfect balance of convenience and cost. It is true that there are multiple pieces to the "system" and it's costly up front. That being said, I invested in cloth inserts (of a cheap brand, not the ones they sell) that I use part of the time to reduce waste and cut costs. The way gDiapers fit is good, but it could be better. The part where you close the diaper with velcro is stiff and thick due to the weight of the fabric and the fact that it's folded and sewn together making a thick layer can press into the top of your child's leg on the sides of the leg hole (as it has with my chunky baby). Over time caused what I believe to be slight bruising in a tiny spot above each leg. To prevent this, I adjust the diaper a couple times as I put it on, being sure to pull it up high on the baby as to keep a gap at the top of the leg hole between the diaper and the leg. In addition to that adjustment, I use my fingers to flatten out the insert inside the diaper after putting it on, by actually putting my fingers inside the diaper between the legs (palms facing away from the baby) and uncurling the insert. Basically, as you put on the diaper, there is no method of doing it that doesn't cause the insert to become bunched up, possibly in a way that would result in the baby being able to pee to one side of the absorbent part and leaking. After getting the diaper all the way on, making the insert flatten out prevents all leaks, and also gives opportunity to make sure the waterproof liner part is placed nice and wide on the baby. All of this quick work at getting the diaper on correctly is key to an awesome experience. I know I mentioned that the fit could be better, but I am ONLY referring to the top of the leg hole. Everything else actually works BETTER than a disposable when it's on just right, which is really much easier than I make it sound. The gPants are really cute, and the leg holes make for a nice fit around the crotch. Best I've ever seen in a cloth/hybrid diaper. They wash easily and don't seem to stain somehow. I have bleached every color I have (blue, green, yellow, pink, newborn) and none of them lost their color. I did fade some of them a teeny tiny bit when I went through an over-bleaching phase before I found out I shouldn't do that. I admit that the white newborn ones I did manage to stain--I don't know if it's because they are white or that newborn excrement is really orange/weird, but they did stain. I think the most important part of what makes these wonderful is that my daughter doesn't get rashes! The first two children I diapered got frequent rashes, and went through periods of having almost non-stop rashes come up. I don't have that problem with these diapers. According to the gDiaper website, it's because they allow air to flow through them. I don't know if that's why. I just know it's what happened for me. The waterproof liner is waterproof, but at the same time a soaked -cloth- insert can allow moisture to build up everywhere inside the diaper, even to the point of moistening the gPant (cloth outer part) enough to seem completely wet. I've noticed that it's just moist and not leakage, although it's really similar feeling and almost as bad. If you choose to use cloth inserts, you must know that you have to change all wet diapers as soon as possible. Leaving them wet will eventually cause the moisture problem (but no rash!). I recommend these to everyone!! Just buy the gPants on sale, and the rest whenever. If cost is an issue, do cloth inserts some of the time and like me, you'll end up SAVING MONEY by the end of the year.
Review: Physician and Mom Approved!!! - After much research, we finally went with the G diapers and are SO glad we did. Our daughter has used them since she fit into a small (we used disposable newborn diapers before this) and we have had a great experience. She is now 7 months and in the mediums. I am so happy with them that I just bought Larges. There are three parts to each diaper: a colored shell, a snap-in liner, and then an insert that is either disposable or cotton. For each size, we have needed 6 shells and one extra pack of liners and do laundry about 2-3 times per week. We use disposable inserts and go through about 1.5 packs per week (6-7 inserts per day). She goes through about 1-2 shells per day. Shells almost always stay clean with pee-only diapers and sometimes get dirty with poop. Pros and cons are below: Pros: - Cheaper than regular diapers, especially if you buy on desertcart and are planning to have more children - Excellent quality, will definitely last through another child. After 3 months of use, all of our our diapers look as good as new. - We have had only three blowouts in seven months with these diapers. Disposables just can't even begin to compare to those numbers. - Great for the environment! No plastic waste that will sit in a landfill for centuries to come! - ADORABLE. - Our daughter has NEVER had diaper rash! As a Family Doc, I think this is my favorite part about these diapers. There are no chemicals and the disposable inserts are very absorbent. They really keep her dry! - Comfortable! Our daughter has never had chaffing or rubbing, as long a we make sure the velcro is correctly aligned. She is in the 50%ile, so perhaps other sized babies might have a different experience. Cons: - Although they are very cute, they are bulky. We buy her pants one size up in so that they fit easily with these diapers. - You have to commit to doing about one extra load of laundry per week. We keep soiled items in her hamper in a separate plastic bag and then just toss everything in together in the wash. You could always buy more shells to cut down on laundry. - Overnight can be a little tricky. With about 8 hours of wear sometimes the inserts become over saturated with urine and start to fall apart. We have avoided this by changing her once during the night. Some people say they use two inserts at night, which we have not tried. I would absolutely buy these again and am SO happy we went with these! Physician and mom approved!!

### ⭐⭐⭐ No comfort for baby. Have to change every 2-3 changes. Would not buy again.

So there are pros and con's with this product.... Pro's -Love the PUL insert, I can stuff our prefold diapers in them but do wish it could have more depth -If your baby pees most of the time, you can get many uses out of this diaper before washing it..amazing! -Very Lightweight, I would call it a 'pop up' diaper. When you start stuffing it, then it takes shape and love the look of it. Con's -I dislike the waistband, It is very hard, and not comfortable for any baby -Velcro? I love snaps more, versus the velcro which gets less sticky over time, then you'll have to replace the diaper or velcro -The PUL insert is so that your baby can get multiple wears out of the diaper before having to wash it. But seeing as though are 1 year old poops everyday, you still have to replace it when poop happens because it gets on the cloth. - The buttons inside and the fabric that they are on are extremely hard and rough, not something I would want exposed to babies skin. These can create marks and rashes...not so great. Overall is it a product I have to have and want more of? No, I would not buy it again, because I believe they are not comfortable for our baby and you don't really get a lot of multiple uses out of them. Does it do a pretty good job at holding pee and poop? Yes, everything is contained inside weather in just the pouch or outside the diaper, as long as its not getting on the outside. Depending on these factors I've listed I hope this has helped you make a decision weather to buy them or not. Every parent is different, every child is different, so find what works best for you.
