A traditional herbal medicinal product for use in the temporary relief of sleep disturbances exclusively based upon long-standing use as a traditional remedy. Always read the leaflet. Ingredients Each film-coated tablet contains: Dry extract from Valerian Root (Valeriana Officinalis L.) 385mg (equivalent to 1.54 - 1.93g of Valerian Root), Extraction solvent: Ethanol 60% V/V Safety Warning Do not take if you are taking any other medicine for sleep or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Nytol Herbal Simply Sleep One-A-Night tablets are not recommended for use during pregnancy or when breast-feeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. **Q: Does it work? How long does it take to effect?**
A: Some of these answers seem to be referring to another Nytol product. I find the Nytol Herbal Simply Sleep One-A-Night tablets to be effective. I take 1 tablet 1 hour before going to bed. These tablets have no taste or smell. The other product is Nytol Herbal tablets which have an odd taste and smell. I find them to be ineffective.

A: The Nytol Herbal Simply Sleep One-A-Night tablets contain 385mg Valerian root extract. I find them very effective and I will buy them again.

**Q: why do they smell so bad?**
A: I do not notice and smell in the packet. Each tablet is individually sealed and I have not noticed any unpleasant taste in my mouth when swallowing the tablet. so cannot explain why you think "they smell  so bad"
