I live on a well with very hard water, and mainly got these filters to help slow the buildup of lime on my shower. Since installing these, my showers stays looking clean for SO much longer. The used filter is wet in this picture so it looks much darker than it does when dry, but you get the point. This filter is catching the minerals in the water.
