Not sure about the shampoo but the conditioner has a tiny amt of cetyl alcohol and the serum has none. You only need the serum for a thickening effect. **Q: This products main ingredients are silicones and alcohol...can someone who has been using this product for long-term please tell me what you see?** A: I use it about every two weeks; I alternate with other products. It seems to work just fine on my very thin hair. I use the shampoo and the conditioner. **Q: are the bottles indidually sealed w shrink wrap?** A: No **Q: Can you use conditioner as a leave in?** A: Definietly not. As it says..."Rinse thoroughly". If you want something to thicken and leave in, look at Thicker Fuller Instantly Thick Serum, but that's not a conditioner.
