While nothing is 100% effective against the clouds you sometimes get, I thought the picaridin spray worked at least as well as the DEET compounds I've always used, both sprays and the slightly scary 80%+ liquid. I felt like I needed to reapply it more often (twice a day, maybe), but that was a small trade-off to keep all of my synthetic gear from melting. **Q: Is this product oily like some lotions** A: Not at all oily or greasy!
