I bought them to fit into my Residential 15 Gallon Recycling Container - 12"W X 18"D X 24"H. They do not fit over the lip of the can (to hold them up). They are not by any means strong enough to hold the amount of waste that fills it. Because I am using them for empty cardboard, tins and plastic I was not concerned with how strong the bags were. However, these bags do not even hold EMPTY waste products.
