Buy this - In total my TRX4 Sport has had 3 motors. The stock motor, that burned out from the previous owner, the faster motor I got from Traxxas for 30ish bucks shipped that was also brushed (was really fast and fun but it slowly started to die cause I didn’t take care of it) and this one. By far the best motor out of all. This thing can LITERALLY crawl at a snails pace. It was easy to install too, just have to get the gear mesh right. It has plenty of power and torque so you will be able to go over anything and get where you want to in a hurry and the battery life doubled. I can now run this for about 2 hours instead of the 1 hour with the brushed motors. The only problem I have with it is mine runs HOT. How hot, I’m not sure because I don’t have a temp gun and I’m not gonna get one. I just know that it got wet one time and there was steam coming off it. So running it in Alabama summers (where it was over 90 for most of the day) with the stock gearing will make it hot. I have geared it down but a heat sink and fan would probably be next on my list as it has only been outside for a few minutes because I don’t want the heat to claim another motor. So until cooler weather gets here, it gets drove around inside. Apart from the heat, it’s great. I’m waiting to get a soldering iron so I can solder some Traxxas plugs and something for the lights so I got an adapter for the meantime. You also NEED the programming card or else it will go in reverse the first time you set it up. This motor makes me wish I didn’t go the cheap route and buy the one from Traxxas, and I’m happy I didn’t buy the smaller motor as this is what I wanted. If you’re crawling I’d say save the money and get the 1800kv SE, trailing go with the faster 2300kv Pro. Having both, I can say there’s not a huge difference. I do love my Pro 2300kv. But I also run the 1800kv Fusion SE’s in a couple of my trucks and as far as crawling goes, they’re just as good and are almost half the price. The SE comes in 2 variants, 1200kv and 1800kv. If you decide to go the SE route, id say go with the 1800 and change your pinion size to get the speed to torque ratio that you’re looking for. I run the 1800 in my Redcat Gen7 with stock pinion and it’s fast enough to trail with. **Q: which is better the combo or 2 in 1 technology ?** A: The 2 in 1 fusions are great. I love how it simplifies the layout and really cleans up the chassis as there’s no esc to mount. **Q: How will this work without programming card vs brushed stock trx4 motor?** A: The motor is set up with pretty much everything in the middle. Drag brake is set at 5/10 which is meant for roughly a 12lb rig, decelerating in set 3/6 but is kinda fast but not fast enough to start breaking stuff. I personally have not used it in a trx4 only scx10’s but way more power then a brushed motor, it has a crawl feature that will maintain the speed over an obstacle, it does not cog like unsensored motors. The one thing to look at is clearance for the motor, since it is a two in one which makes it longer (58mm) so make sure it can fit in the cassis. **Q: 4s capable?** A: No only up to 3s ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Burned Motor?
