Sure, you can spend four times the amount for a name brand. But this unit will do anything a warn or smittybuilt can. AT LESS THAN HALF THE COST. Build quality was fantastic. The winch operates flawlessly. It's a 216:1 ratio, so isn't going to blow the doors off in a race, but it will get there without overheating. Weighing 59lbs with synthetic rope, it fits perfectly into my Proline bumper on my 2007.5 Dodge Ram 3500. I'm not one for looks of a winch. I more care about how they perform.
