Screw on the pump tightly. Pull & push the lever at the opposite end of the spray nozzle. This will pressurize the bottle - if it was a soft bottle before you’ll feel it get hard & the Pump will get harder to pull & push. Simply press down on the button on top to spray the water. Twist the metal nozzle to adjust the spray from fine mist to stream until the water stops, then pump it up again. Hope this helps. **Q: once it's pumped up, can you use it to just spray air? I want a replacement for wasteful "canned air" to blow dust from my keyboard at high pressure.** A: Although it will shoot air & with the nozzle loosened to get a strong burst, w/a 20 oz. bottle , you'll only get several short bursts at a time. So depending on how dusty your keyboard is, you'll need to pump quite a bit to get enough bursts to clean it.
