This one is very heavy, and it does not have a coated finish on it, so I don't anticipate it having that issue. I love that the handles have a gripper, which works good for me as my hands are usually messy and wet, and this helps so it does not slip out while putting force to crush the garlic. It was as easy to clean as others I have had. I love that this one is dishwasher safe.
