## Description

Wallpaper Cover-Up is an all-in-one primer, sealer and stain blocker. A high hiding primer that obliterates wallpaper print with a smooth, off-white, matt finish, it can be used under any coloured emulsion. Zinsser’s Wallpaper Cover-Up can be applied by either brush or roller. For best results, use a short pile mohair or microfibre roller. Unlike a regular emulsion, which can cause wallpaper to bubble and blister, Zinsser’s Wallpaper Cover-Up seals the wallpaper, protecting it from moisture in the paint. Once dry, the one-coat system creates a new surface that’s easy to paint. Zinsser’s Wallpaper Cover-Up also includes a stain blocker, so that seeping stains from smoke and damp residue are easily covered with no fear of re-emergence.

Review: It worked - I had to cover a slightly textured wallpaper and research advised using this to seal/ prime etc. It really does have a strong smell like gloss paint so you need lots of ventilation and appropriate full mask/goggles as the fumes are dangerous. I applied one fairly thick even coat. It covered the paper patern well and the texture is hardly visible. A more textured wall.paper may need more coats but it wouldn't hide /fill ridged styles. I'm pleased with the result. You need white spirit if you want to save your brushes and dispose of left overs roller/ tray as directed.

**Q: I have loose, slightly peeling wallpaper, will this work before I paint it? Will it lock down peeling wallpaper?**
A: Unfortunately it wont. I had the same issue as you’re currently facing. Made it even worse by wetting loose parts of the wallpaper. I believe the existing wallpaper should still retain sufficient bonding/adhesive agent for it work

**Q: Is there a particular type of emulsion that is recommended to paint over this? E.g should I use oil based only or can it be any finish?**
A: Any finish. It did take a few coats to get rid of the patterned wall paper but well worth it.

**Q: Will this stop damp coming through the wallpaper?**
A: Hi, this product will not prevent damp from coming from the wallpaper.

**Q: Can this be used to paint over wallpaper that has been previously painted with vinyl silk emulsion?**
A: Am not sure but I would try a patch as I think probably it's an amazing product

Used this in the bathroom and it did a great job. Little expensive, but it covers well and you would probably end up using twice as much normal paint to do the same job.
