However, I am still keeping the cord for future use as the HDD port side is universal among many different external HDDs out there. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Y Cable Is Too Short & Lost Data Transfer *by S***G on Reviewed in the United States on 18 January 2016* Wish I could rate it a five star; but, the y portion of the cable is to short to effectively be used between my Surface Pro 3 and external hard drive. Plus, after just a month of usage, data started being dropped. Upon careful examination, I found that the cable at the y appeared to be flimsy/falling apart. I could jiggle that portion of the cable and the data transfer would begin & drop.
