If so, how?** A: During the assembly line they are on the “sharpener” for the same amount of time. It was on an episode of “How It’s Made”. **Q: What country are they made in?** A: Made for Amazon so probably Amazonia. **Q: Are these pencils comparable to the ticonderoga pencils? Eraser and all?** A: As a basic pencil, it is okay. Comparing it to Dixon Ticonderogas, no way! Also speaking as a teacher, students very easily pop these erasers completely out of the metal ring. That just does not happen with the Ticonderogas. With no eraser, the pencil either goes in the junk tray, or you must revive it by putting a pencil top eraser on it. However, with just an empty metal ring, eraser toppers rip quickly. I would rather go to a dollar store and get 24 cheaper pencils for a buck or $1.25 than use these Amazon ones. I rate 3/5 stars. They are solid wood, and the graphite inside is fine, but the erasers suck, and the presharpened lead points are not even good points. Much like a golf pencil point. **Q: are the erasers latex free?** A: The description says they are latex-free. We have a teacher who is allergic to latex and can't be near where it's in the air (like if someone pops a balloon or uses a latex eraser) and she's had no problems with these in her class so the description is correct. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Quality Pencils for Classroom Use! *by S***R on October 18, 2026* An absolute must-have for teachers! They looked just as good as they appeared in the photos. They were the perfect size and very easy to grip. The material felt sturdy and was good quality. The pencils are made from good quality wood with a graphite core. The graphite points did not break easily, even with regular use, and they did not need to be sharpened often. The pencils held a sharp point for a long time, which made them great for everyday writing. The erasers were also good quality and erased cleanly without leaving dirty marks or smudges on the paper. They made perfect gifts for my kids in Jamaica for back to school. I would definitely purchase them again. I would definitely purchase them again. I only wish they offered free shipping to Jamaica! ## Frequently Bought Together - Amazon Basics Woodcased Classroom #2 Pencils with Erasers, Pre-sharpened, HB Lead, Value Pack of 30 count, Orange - Elmer's Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks Washable 6 Grams 12 Count - Crayola Colored Pencils (36ct), Kids Pencil Set, Back to School Essentials, Must Have Classroom Supplies for Kids, Pre-Sharpened Coloring Book Pencils, 3+ --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/52155265-wood-cased-school-pencils-with-erasers-for-writing-and-drawing](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/52155265-wood-cased-school-pencils-with-erasers-for-writing-and-drawing) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
