Is there any vibration? I cut and polish opal which requires a very steady wheel.** A: There is mild vibration, but my husband and I have cut and polished Boulder opal, Ethiopian opal, and Australian opal with no problem. The pieces we worked/work on have not broken or are not misshaped in any way. We cut all different types of rock/gems as well. **Q: where does the water come from** A: The water sits in a bucket (not included) with the included water pump. The water pump pumps the water through the hoods. The water is then disbursed over each individual wheel. **Q: Do I need to assemble this?** A: There is some assembly. The machine motor will need to be mounted to the base and the wheels will need to be put on the machine . The water trays and sides will need to be assembled also and water tubes to the trays. There is quite a bit of assembly but well worth it. I have had my 8" Cab King now for a year now and love it! If you have any other questions let me know. **Q: How many gallons per hour does this use? Also how messy is this to use. It looks like a lot of water splashes out during use** A: I use a 5-gallon bucket for the pump and another for the drainage. I usually add 1-gallon of water each time I work and usually work for 1-2 hours without needing to add more. It does splash some, so I have a plastic cover over my work table and then tuck an old towel around the base of the machine which works really well and lessens the cleanup.
