Overall, it seems durable, it doesn't seem like it will fall apart any time soon, the base is wide/stable/sturdy, it has a magazine pocket in the back (I don't remember/see that function mentioned), it took about five minutes to put together and I didn't even need directions. The important functionality/information not mentioned is that the foot rest and back have two separate release mechanisms (one on each side of the chair) and this is important because it does not recline like any other recliner I've ever had where the back is leaned against and the entire chair unfolds and reclines, the foot rest does not come up far enough to be level with the floor, and the back does not recline nearly far enough to be considered lie flat.
