I bought a different Kanan wig a while back, but this is the only one that had the base tied back to actually make it look like a ponytail. There's a clip for the ponytail that's separate, but the hair looks like it's coming from your head. Not party city levels of shine, but enough that it starts to look a bit cheap. Also can be fixed by using fabric softener or another de-shining method.I'd say you get what you pay for, so I reccomend it if you're not able to/don't want to buy something super duper fancy!
