The fitting might be too small for adequate lubrication and I fear oil added to this port via other means will not make its way to the pawls, gears, etc. I was sure to properly lubricate the internals (especially the pawls and pawl springs) prior to reassembly but I'm not confident oil added to the fitting would make its way throughout the hub.
